Let us prey
In my frenzy of watching horror movies, i wanted to see this one because the title sounded ok. I didn`t had a clue of what i was about to watch. At the beginning i thought it was another horror movie with monsters coming from the dark to rip humans apart and eat their flesh… oh, but i was soooo wrong… and for the best!
In my hunt for more quality horror movies, i never thought that i would end up seeing this one. The soundtrack, the image, the role-play, everything from the beginning to the end had me on needles and pins.
And when i saw Liam Cunningham i just knew it was going to be good. I don`t know the actor, i must admit this. It was the first time i saw him, and i really feel bad that i didn`t knew him from before. When i saw him was one thing, but when he spoke, and that voice… There are few actors that are remembered only by their voice, and he is one of them.
Now back to the movie…
The beginning was not what i hoped for (starting with a sex scene), but then again, this is what the masses want…and kinda i`m ok with this because it gave a wrong vibe from the start… rocking you socks off in the end.
This is one of those movies that happen in one place. And the characters that they build, and the round up of personas created, is really good. The turn around of all the characters is the main point of the movie.
“Let us prey” is a movie that will keep you in suspense and put your faith to the challenge. And will show you how bad we as people can be if we are given the chance. You have to keep in mind that it`s Irish and the sarcasm/black humor is present. And due to the fact that paranoia is present at all time, anything can happen.
From the religious horror movies i never thought about this plot actually. It`s fresh and disturbing, it`s new for me and i really like the Green Mile approach.
Give it a watch and you won`t regret it.

Pentru ca a trecut hat vreme de cand nu am mai pus “condeiul pe hartie”, am zis sa reincep o resuscitare ca la carte.
S-au schimbat multe in coma asta (fara aluzii la Coma, si nu, nu ma duc la ei la concerte), dar am constatat ca-mi lipseste enorm sa mai ascult muzici si sa scriu de ele, sau sa mai scriu de filme, ca de vazut, am vazut cate sa-mi pun si-n cap…
Asa ca o sa revin cu vorbe despre filme si ceva muzici si faze…
