“Alice in Wonderland”…or is it?

I was waiting for such a long time to see Alice. With that frolicsome Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. I had so many expectations when I saw the pictures aswel.

And I saw the movie.

And plainly I say to you the movie is bad.

Not quite so bad, but it`s alike The Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR. It`s something else, something not quite good.

I was expecting the original story, not an attempt of a sequel. I did not like Mia Wasikowska. I don`t see Alice like that, I mean she`s good, she`s almost like a child, she has this naive look. But that`s not how I pictured Alice.

I liked however Depp and Helena. Helena is amazing. The part was ment for her, and she played it so well. And I was surprised to hear the voice of Alan Rickman as the blue caterpillar. I was in a way happy of the distribution.

As much as I try I can`t be objective. We`re talking about Burton. Actually about the Burton-Depp duet.

Now…the movie is 3D. But I haven`t seen it at the cinema, that`s that, I was so lazy. I saw it at a friend`s pub. When the movie was over I had only one question: “is it over?”. It did not surprised me at all. It`s just a fantasy movie, that`s all. I`m now wondering if it is really directed by Burton. This kind of fantasy? It`s a bad sequel, a meaningless sequel. I have no idea what Burton wanted to express through this movie.

I was left with a bitter taste and I can only say “pity”. I look forward for more Burton movies, but I won`t be as eager as before.
